Kentucky Pure lightly balanced mineral water soon to hit the shelves

VANCEBURG, KY, 2020-Oct-01 — /EPR FOOD & BEVERAGE NEWS/ — Some new kids on the block are emerging with a novel mineral water offering out of Kentucky, USA.

The company, River Rock Water LLC, is introducing its trademarked brand, Kentucky Pure Mineral Water. The brand offers exceptional taste and a unique, earth-friendly take on packaging. The company has been testing and developing this brand for five years to ensure the highest quality of “very light mineral” water available to consumers.

Kentucky Pure Mineral Water comes from an ancient aquifer that has been supplying the beautiful plains of Kentucky with its highly nutritional content for millions of years. As a testament to the water quality, 105 of the current 143 Kentucky Derby winners were raised on the nutritional grasses of Kentucky which were fed by these waters. Kentucky Pure lightly balanced mineral water is naturally packed with the optimum amount of minerals and trace elements required to promote biological health.

The founder, Tim LeMaster first drank from the well-head on a really hot day, sweating up a storm, and the water tasted so unique, the first words out of his mouth were, “Sweet Water”! As it turns out, farmers in the region had been saying that for centuries. Kentucky Pure Mineral Water has proven to be a real thirst quencher, satisfying the healthy need for refreshing hydration.

The entrepreneurial team behind Kentucky Pure are long time developers of new products. They have applied that product development experience to create a new development for water containers. Their design is 100% biodegradable, bypassing environmental concerns over the destruction and waste caused by traditional plastic water bottles.

Kickstarter Project ‘Did Ya Wheatgrass’ Implements Food-Safety Lab Testing to Validate Quality and Integrity

Pearland, TX, USA, 2020-Sep-15 — /EPR FOOD & BEVERAGE NEWS/ — Did Ya Wheatgrass launches their Kickstarter project, on Sept. 22, 2020. Besides growing, harvesting and juicing their own wheatgrass, Did Ya Wheatgrass validates their juice quality and integrity by food-safety testing their wheatgrass juice at an approved Food Technology & Processing laboratory. This ensures the highest quality product to the consumer.

The Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) states, “It is critical that the wheatgrass is grown from seeds that are processed and obtained from an approved source. The seeds need to be stored and handled to prevent the contamination with any pathogens.” The DSHS continues, “According to FDA, wheatgrass juice is a low acid juice and, under the proper conditions, the raw product is susceptible to the growth of Clostridium botulinum.”

Did Ya Wheatgrass founder Raquel Payan adds, “People don’t get to see the growing process that goes on behind the scenes. And the only way to validate the quality and integrity of the juice is by food-safety testing the wheatgrass juice at an approved Food Technology & Processing laboratory. We want to provide the consumer with the highest quality wheatgrass juice product.” People will ask Payan, ‘How do you get your wheatgrass so sweet tasting? How is it so green?’ Payan responds by saying that the secret is in the growing process. Did Ya Wheatgrass pays considerable attention to the growing process, since it is critical to the quality of juice produced. As a result, Did Ya Wheatgrass Juice Pops are E. Coli free, Salmonella free and Clostridium botulinum free.

The Kickstarter Project, ‘Did Ya Wheatgrass Juice Pops Food-Safety Lab Tested (Vegan Food)’, is scheduled to launch on Sept. 22, 2020. Take a peek and sign up for notifications to stay tuned. For additional information, visit their website: https://www.didyawheatgrass.com.

NON-DAIRY TOPPINGS MARKET: THE NUMBER OF EUROPEANS PREFERRING NON-DAIRY DAIRY PRODUCTS HAS INCREASED SIGNIFICANTLY OVER THE YEARS

DUBLIN 2, Ireland, 10-Oct-2018 — /EPR FOOD & BEVERAGE NEWS/ — The Europe non-dairy toppings market revenues continue to head north, as the growing vegan population ramps up demand for non-dairy ingredients. Shelves and aisles across European retail stores and hypermarkets have been observed with heightened penetration of dairy-free ice-creams. Higher visibility of non-dairy products on retail shelves substantiate the heightened demand for ingredients used to process such products, and non-dairy toppings are no different. Over the years, the number of Europeans preferring non-dairy dairy products has increased significantly, and by second quarter of 2018, over one percent of European population was identified to be vegan, says a report published by Fact.MR on non-dairy toppings market.

Request a Sample of Non-Dairy Toppings Market Report at https://www.factmr.com/connectus/sample?flag=S&rep_id=646

A Potion out of Niche – Translating Vegan Folks to Value

The number of vegan population in the UK alone has increased by 350% within a decade. Among the people who have embraced veganism in the U.K., nearly 63% are women. Observing this shift, leading UK retailers such as Sainsbury’s and Tesco have introduced new range of vegan products. While the demand for vegan products and ingredients has amplified in Western Europe, frozen desserts and ice-creams are witnessing a surge in demand.

According to Fact.MR’s study, the popularity of non-dairy products is relatively higher in Germany, with over 60% of the Germans showing interest in non-dairy ice creams and frozen desserts wherein non-dairy topping is used for processing. Non-dairy ice cream ingredients which accounted for a mere 1% of the total ice cream ingredients demand in 2012, have grown up to sizeable 8% share in a span of five years in Western European countries.

The non-dairy toppings market has also been aided by celebrity endorsements and word-of-mouth by influencers on social media. This population base has translated into a sizable market for non-dairy topping producers, which have realigned their strategies to leverage the unfolded white space in European food & beverages market.

Request methodology at https://www.factmr.com/connectus/sample?flag=S&rep_id=646

Lactose-averse Individuals Supplementing Non-dairy Toppings Demand

People who opt for non-dairy topping based products had to compromise with their choice of food, and lactose intolerant population group forms the leading chunk of this population group. Lactose intolerant individuals are allergic to food that contains dairy products, and are on targeted dietary plan such as Whole30 and the Paleo diet. With about 65% of European population reckoned to be lactose intolerant, and North European countries leading the list, the widespread preference and adoption for non-dairy topping is evident.

Furthermore, companies engaged in production of dairy based products also received consumer feedback of introducing key brands in non-dairy variants, and a few handful of market actors considered. European food & beverages market witnessed over 35 such product launch in last six quarter with non-dairy claims and almost 15 of those using non-dairy toppings.

A Sweet Spin on Moonshine for Bloomery Distillery

Charles Town, West Virgina, July 03, 2015 — /EPR FOOD & BEVERAGE NEWS/ — FlipKey.com, the vacation rental company of leading travel site TripAdvisor has published its list of the 50 most loved and most talked about food and drink tours in almost every state across the U.S. And in West Virginia, the winner is Bloomery Plantation Distillery.

Capitalizing on the craving for locally sustainable craft distilleries and the nostalgia for moonshine, Bloomery’s SweetShine line of naturally flavored liqueurs are handcrafted from farm-fresh roots, fruits, and nuts.

The freshness of the line’s ingredients cannot be questioned, with all agricultural ingredients grown at the distillery’s own farm, local neighboring farms or other small American farms.

To date, more than 60,000 premium drink devotees have toured the distillery to savor an artisanal cocktail – whether it’s the ‘moonshine milkshake’ innovatively called Cremma Lemma or the chilled Chocolate Raspberry (a shot in hot coffee is bound to change one’s morning routine). With more than twenty-one international awards and too many cocktail enthusiast praises to count, the company is doing its part to take the restaurant, bar and hospitality industries to tasty new levels.

The entire process of creating the SweetShine line is handcrafted – from the hand-zesting of every lemon to the hand-chopping of the ginger to the hand-making of syrups to the actual handwriting that goes on every bottle of every label. Company founder Linda Losey claims with pride, “Consumers like a little bit of the unusual and appreciate our whimsical approach, but quality and taste are paramount – this is why we grow our own Italian lemons and Hawaiian ginger as well as our own black walnuts, pumpkins, and raspberries. Losey goes on to say, “Our fans trust our brand…and are comfortable and confident that when they grab a bottle of SweetShine, they can add it to any of their current cocktails and they’ll create a fresher, higher quality, premium cocktail that was a breeze to make.”

Bloomery SweetShine is currently distributed to retailers, bars and restaurants in 42 states and is on the fast track to further expand distribution.

About Bloomery SweetShine
Since opening as a mini-distillery in the agri-tourism industry in September of 2011, Bloomery Plantation Distillery has been capitalizing on the craving for locally sustainable craft distilleries, the nostalgia for the prohibition-era and the explosion of fruit flavored liqueurs through its hand-crafted, award-winning SweetShine line. With a sweet spin on moonshine, the company makes moonshine drinkable through its award-winning liqueurs that are hand-crafted from farm-fresh fruits, roots and nuts. To date, more than 60,000 premium drink devotees have visited the distillery to enjoy a SweetShine artisanal cocktail of their own amid affable company.

The distillery boasts a wildly unique, imaginative and fiercely dedicated staff led by company founder, Linda Losey. For staffers, SweetShine represents far more than just a product line but rather is regarded as a foundational philosophy—an adventurous and even risk-taking way of doing things…a spirited and amusing outlook on life. This viewpoint guides everything the company creates, and Bloomery’s passionate one-of-a-kind team attracts customers from around the world who believe in, connect with and trust the SweetShine brand.

The distillery, located two miles east of Charles Town, West Virginia, is situated on a 12-acre parcel of land where they grow farm-fresh ingredients used in the elixirs, including ginger, raspberries and lemons, among others. Putting their unique spin on the process of making moonshine, Bloomery’s all natural SweetShine is crafted using time-honored recipes with 190 proof ‘shine, pure cane sugar and garden-grown ingredients. The entire process is hand-crafted—from the hand-zesting of every lemon, to the hand-chopping of the ginger, to the hand picking of raspberries, to the hand-making of its syrups, to the handwriting that goes on every bottle of every label. Each batch is individually proofed; the finished liqueurs range from 40° to 70°. Truly handcrafted. And it shows. Just a touch of SweetShine quickly creates a classic cocktail with a twist—goodbye to boring unadventurous drinking! Bloomery SweetShine is currently distributed to retailers, bars and restaurants in 42 states, and continues to expand distribution nationally.

Raw Milk Bill Scheduled for Vote in the Texas House

Austin, TX, May 05, 2015 — /EPR FOOD & BEVERAGE NEWS/ — Texas lawmakers will have the opportunity to make it easier for consumers to buy raw milk on Thursday, when House Bill 91 is scheduled to come up for a vote on the floor of the House.

The bill, which was approved by the Public Health Committee, will loosen the current regulations that only allow raw milk to be sold on the farm by allowing dairy farmers to sell raw milk at farmers’ markets and to make delivery arrangements with their customers.

“Currently, Texans have to travel to a licensed dairy to buy raw milk,” explained Farm and Ranch Freedom Alliance Executive Director Judith McGeary. “This bill reduces costs and hassle for consumers, while allowing farmers a fair opportunity to market their products,” she continued.

Kris Errickson, whose 13-year old daughter testified to the Public Health Committee in favor of the bill, explained the impact raw milk had on her daughter’s health. “My daughter suffered from food allergies and eczema for much of her life. Her condition changed for the better after implementing a strict diet including raw milk. However, for the past two years my husband battled terminal brain cancer. Driving hours for raw milk was too burdensome, so she had no milk during this time, and her eczema recently returned.”

Texas State Rep. Dan Flynn(R-Canton), the bill’s sponsor, has called it a “free-enterprise” bill. “If you have a legal product, it seems like you should be able to sell it at a farmer’s market,” Flynn told committee members at a hearing on April 21.

Mark Hutchins, a second generation raw milk dairy farmer from Greenville who also testified at the hearing, encouraged the full House to pass the legislation. “The House should affirm that licensed, regulated and legal raw milk is a safe product that ought to be more readily available to interested consumers.

“As a raw milk producer myself, I know how hard raw milk farmers work to ensure the safety, health and wellbeing of their loyal customers, and how much it means to customers to be able to access this product. I urge the Texas House to quickly pass HB 91 and support the freedom of farmers and consumers to choose what is best for their families’ health and safety.”

A fact sheet on HB 91 is available at: http://farmandranchfreedom.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/Fact-sheet-HB91-floor-vote.pdf

SEREbox.com, the original monthly subscription box with an emergency preparedness theme, celebrates its successful 1st year anniversary on February 20th, 2015

Atlanta, GA, February 02, 2015 — /EPR FOOD & BEVERAGE NEWS/ — SEREbox.com was the first monthly subscription box service geared towards emergency preparedness and survival gear planning available on the internet or elsewhere. SEREbox.com combines a comprehensive and innovative line of emergency planning products with an educational aspect that cannot be found anywhere else. Each month has a theme (ie: Fire, Water, Food, Protection, and etc.). They strive to find unique items that are quality made in the USA, highly functional, and extremely durable. Food is always the most popular and important item to have in a cache of emergency supplies. Therefore, special attention was paid to make sure the entire long term shelf stable food line is the best in the business. They succeeded. Their food line is unmatched because it is great tasting, fast cooking, low in sodium, and highly nutritious. Even gluten free and other specialty diet options are available to all customers.

The website has proven to be of tremendous value to families and individuals on their search for independence and freedom from reliance on other people or the government in case of any emergency or survival scenario. “This is a cutting edge Internet site far superior to anything in the marketplace,” said Ryan Bowersox, Co-Founder of SEREbox.com. “We have received a humbling amount of compliments on the concept and product itself. We expect tremendous sales growth in year two through our newly designed, convenient, and user-friendly website.”

“The response from all our customers has been overwhelmingly positive. Companies talk all the time about customer service and it seems to be just lip service. Customer service is a lost art. We really strive to make each customer happy. We have never put turning a profit ahead of doing the right thing for our customers. We have countless testimonials on our website about how we are succeeding in all our goals. We are just so pleased that our little idea has been of such use to people, and it’s so exciting. We can’t wait to see what year two and beyond brings.” said Scott Setter, President.

SEREbox.com has grown by leaps and bounds because of the great value it offers its customers. The company has a very intelligent and hardworking team of people in the greater Atlanta area. The concept and website have been featured in many publications, most notably the Winter 2014 version of “Survivor’s Edge” Magazine. The company’s website at www.SEREbox.com contains additional information on the program and how to sign up.

First of Kind Sports Drink – Break Through for Athletes

“A beverage that was developed with “natural” ingredients accelerates an athlete’s recovery from workouts, practices and competitions”

Ridgefield, WA, October 28, 2014 — /EPR FOOD & BEVERAGE NEWS/ — 2MAC, created by an athlete 60 years young, uses natural ingredients to restore the energy and hydration generators depleted during high intensity competition or practice. The greatest chapter in this story may be that there are no chemicals required to achieve this result.

“We were tired of using sugary, salty, artificial tasting drinks as a recovery beverage after a workout. As athletes we wanted something that really did taste great, contained no artificial additives and restored the amino acids, antioxidants, electrolytes, vitamins and minerals we burned while exercising. The drinks on the market were missing the big picture as they were too narrowly focused on remedies for one or two segments of this equation. It was very frustrating,” said development director, Mike McDaniel at 2MAC’s Vancouver, Washington headquarters.

The body does not restore these elements on its own, they must be consumed. The longer a person waits to recharge their body the longer their recovery time will be. Waiting to resupply lost nutrients reduces the benefits from a workout or extends the recovery time from an event. While consuming water or a high sugar and salt sports drink will cure a roaring thirst, that alone will not remedy the more important issue of depleted nutrients and body reserves. These elements must be replaced to rejuvenate muscles and energy.

“2MAC’s formulas, which are characterized by a great taste profile, are designed to be absorbed rapidly into an athlete’s system, reduce muscle inflammation and oxidative stress while minimizing insulin release. To effectively reverse the effects of physical stress, 2MAC should consumed during, or within 30 minutes of ending, the exercise period,” McDaniel stated.

Introducing 2MAC to a sports drink market that is defined by long entrenched brands is a challenging task. That is why 2MAC has decided to seek funding in two stages through the Kickstarter process which features an all or nothing model. Stage one is designed to verify taste demographics while a stage two Kickstarter campaign will be utilized to launch a nationwide rollout of the product. Be sure to follow us at the following Kickstarter link. Those who pledge will be among the first to experience the benefits of this natural solution to dehydration and nutrient loss.
